Global Peace Festival in Washington D.C By: Behar Godani On August 9, 2008, members of the KYC-DC joined members of the
Kurdistan Student Organization and other Kurds in the area for the
annual Global Peace Festival in Washington D.C. It is a festival that
helps to facilitate an understanding between the countless cultures
that exist in the area, as well as provide a venue for groups to
perform cultural dances, sing songs, and set up booths that discuss the
origins of their heritage.
